Foggy to speed in to technology college centre

The most successful World Superbike racer of all time will visit Blackpool and The Fylde College’s new Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) on Friday.

Carl ‘Foggy’ Fogarty will complete a lap of the college car park on his trusty Triumph motorcycle before taking a Porsche 911 for a spin on the facility’s dynanometer equipment.

The motorcycling supremo will then hold a question and answer session with high school students.

Foggy will be flying in from Australia fresh from handing over his crown to the winner of this year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Vicky Pattison.

The ACT opened in September 2015 to meet the skills priorities of the advanced engineering and manufacturing industry.

Facilities include advanced engineering workshops with industry-level technology, a project zone for pneumatics, robotics and electronics, automotive workshops designed to provide a working environment in line with market leaders such as Audi and BMW, plus a materials and paint applications workshop mirroring the highest industry standards.
