Fylde coast woman's double awards hope

Nicola Jane Miller, whose private studio based in Cleveleys, Nicola Jane Make-up Artist, carries out work for professional photo-shoots magazine articles and for weddings, has been shortlisted in two categories – freelance makeup artist of the year and creative makeup artist of the year.

The black-tie awards will be held at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on Sunday, May 27.

The awards seek to provide a platform to acknowledge and honour the impeccable and tireless work of the best professionals and businesses in the British make-up industry.

Nicola Jane, 42, said: “I trained in fashion and photograph makeup at the highly acclaimed Glauca Rossi School of Makeup in London.

“It counts Charlotte Tilbury, Jemma Kidd and Florrie White as past students.

“Makeup Artistry is my full time passion. I have a private home based studio in Cleveleys and I also offer a mobile service for weddings.

“I mostly work on weddings and special occasion makeup at the weekends and during the week I do trials for brides, private one on one makeup lessons and photoshoots or corporate booking.

"I am also trained in the application of HD Airbrush Makeup which is very popular with my bridal clients. It is so rewarding than being nominated for this prestigious and glamorous award.

“To have been shortlisted into the finals shows the ultimate recognition by my clients and my peers.

“Whether I win the final in my category or not, just being nominated and shortlisted as added flames to the passion I have for what I do; making woman feel and see their beauty as well as making my business stand out in the crowd.”
