Ansdell Medical Centre is taking new patients again.
Earlier this year, the GP practice was given permission by NHS England to turn away people looking to register until December.
But the centre said it was now ‘pleased to announce our list is open for new patient registrations’.
“Please pop into the surgery to pick up one of our registration packs to complete,” a spokesman added.
The surgery said it was turning away new patients to keep standards high while a new GP was hunted.
Some staff have since returned from sick leave, a spokesman for the Fylde and Wyre Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said yesterday morning.
There is a local and national shortage of GPs and, last week, Gorton Street Practice in Blackpool closed after its only doctor, Dr Stephen Clarke, took a job elsewhere.
Bosses were unable to find a replacement, and around 4,000 patients were affected.
