St Annes residents are being invited to have their say about how they see the future of their town.

The Town Council is at the initial consultation stage of producing a Neighbourhood Plan to work hand in hand with the Fylde Local Plan and wants to hear the public’s
ideas. St Annes is one of the first town councils in the north of England to take up the option of preparing such a plan, which is a result of the Government’s Localism Act, and a series of ‘roadshows’ are being held to gather residents’ views.

Town Council representatives will be at the Parish Rooms in Headroomgate Road tomorrow from 2 to 6pm, while further sessions are planned for the Westgate
area the following Friday from 4 to 6pm, the Memorial Hall, St Albans Road on May 22 from 2 to 6pm and the covered domes in St Annes Square on Saturday, May 24 from 11am to 2pm.

Town mayor Coun Viv Willder said: “This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our town and I would urge everyone to come along and have their say. The message is we want to make this your plan, and we can only do that with your help.”
