Fans reported being unable to get through until later in the day.

Peter added: “As tickets have gone on sale that support has clearly shown itself and I am delighted to report that more than half the tickets sold within the first hour of going on sale.

“There are still tickets available but they won’t be there for long and I would urge anyone who hasn’t got theirs yet to get them as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed as this is, without a doubt, going to be a great night to remember on Lytham Green.”

High Flying Birds will be followed by a ‘mix tape’ night on Friday, featuring the likes of The Village People, Earth, Wind and Fire and the Bay City Rollers.
