The St Annes Enterprise Partnership, formed last year by traders and businesses with the aim to improve all aspects of the town, is holding an open evening on Monday and is inviting members of the community to get involved.

The Partnership, which is affiliated with the Coastal Communities Alliance, is supported by St Annes Town and Fylde Councils and also has the backing of the Department for Communities and Local Government.

It has already held some consultations over how people want to see the town develop and chairman Bev Wood, who runs a design agency in the town centre, said: “I have been a member of STEP for over a year now and in that time I have seen the group grow in numbers as well as in enthusiasm, and develop a viable action plan for our town.

“I am passionate about this beautiful seaside town and want to ensure it continues to thrive for many years to come.

“The group aim is to push forwards with projects which will bring sustainable prosperity to St Annes but it is important that people don’t think we are a ‘closed shop’ – we are certainly not.

“We welcome anyone who works and lives in St Annes to get involved in our group.”

The open evening is at the Palace Rooms, Garden Street, on Monday from 5 to 7pm and Bev added: “We would love to meet like-minded individuals who share our passion for St Annes, which has an opportunity to strive for bigger and brighter things.

“These successes will be determined by this town unifying. So the message from STEP is to get involved and be a voice in our town.

“We are working on a wide range of future projects and we hope to see lots people at the open evening.”
