For most people meeting the likes of Katy Perry or Ed Sheeran would be once in a lifetime experiences.

But that’s not the case for celebrity snapper Jack Alexander.

The Blackpool-born photographer is fast gaining himself a reputation as a go-to guy when it comes to capturing the biggest names in music.

Jack, 25, has snapped some of the biggest stars of the moment, many of them as they’ve called in at the London studios of Capital FM.

His images have graced magazine covers and been shared on the social media accounts of A-List celebrities.

Not bad for a lad whose start to life came at Bispham’s Westcliff Primary School.

“We moved away from Blackpool when I was quite young,” recalls Jack.

“I did most of my growing up in the Isle of Man.

“But my dad still lives on the Fylde coast, he’s in Poulton these days and it’s great to come up and see him.

“I was up just a couple of weeks ago, it’s very different from the big city, it’s nice to get a break.”

Jack took a gamble setting himself up as a freelance snapped in 2012 having previously studied English Language at Huddersfield University.

And he admits at first it was a tough life.

He said: “I was having to work other jobs just to get by.

“I remember one day doing a shoot with Britney Spears in the morning and in the afternoon I went to work behind the counter at Boots.

“It was hard getting the work.

“When I first started out I just sent out tweets to a load of people.

“My first celebrity work was with Charlotte Church, she replied to one of the tweets and it went from there.

“Those photos went into a few newspapers and lots of magazines, it gave me the start I needed.”

Since then Jack has had the chance to rub shoulders with the likes of Rita Ora, Kim Kardashian and Zac Efron.

He was also the first photographer to be granted a shoot with 2016 X Factor winner Matt Terry.

But his favourite work was with Joss Stone.

Jack said: “She was lovely.

“Normally jobs are such a rush but she invited us down to Devon, to her home.

“It was so much fun and she was so nice with us.

“It’s one I’ll always remember.”
