Ladies' taking to mud to help mum Sam
But some 24 Fleetwood women are preparing to do just that in a few months’ time – and it’s all for a good cause.
Fitness instructor Maxine Garrett and members of her class are trying to raise £1,000 for Fleetwood mum of-four Sam Frith, of Heathfield Road, who is now terminally ill after developing breast cancer two years ago.

Maxine and her class members have signed up for the challenging Muddy Manics event, which takes place at Burrs Park in Bury on April 24.
The group, who will all be travelling to Bury on a coach for the big day, have set up a Just Giving account to help them raise funds.
Mum-of-two Maxine, 37, of Broadway, Fleetwood, said: “As a mum myself Sam’s situation really strikes a chord with me and this is at least something we can do to help the family.

“We all enjoy a challenge and last year some of us took part in the Tough Mudder event, which raises money for Help For Heroes.
“This time we were able to choose our own good cause and we thought of Sam.”
