Lee Mead heads to Lowther for anniversary tour

For many, a stable career on stage and screen can only be a dream. But for Lee Mead, a dream came true when he won a TV talent contest.

He has since played lead roles in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Wicked and Legally Blonde: The Musical, produced solo albums and tours, and starred in Casualty and Holby City.

An his tenth anniversary show comes to Lowther Pavilion at 7.30pm on Saturday.

“With TV talent shows, often after two or three years, you’re off radar so I’m proud of what I’ve done, “ Lee said. “It opened up so many opportunities.”
