The charity contacted Marble’s owner, who had moved back to Somerset and long given up on ever seeing her beloved pet again.
Maxing said: “She was absolutely ecstatic.
“She was crying on the phone.
“At the moment we are arranging for the cat to be taken back to Somerset.
“I’m going to take it to Preston, someone’s going to drive it to Stoke, someone’s going to take it to Worchester and then to Somerset. It’s all being done by Harvey’s Army volunteers.”

She said: “Whether somebody has taken her in and moved to Blackpool, or whether she’s jumped in a removal van we don’t know.
“Whoever has had this cat in Blackpool has looked after it. It’s in perfect condition. There’s not a mark on it.
“She’s absolutely gorgeous. She’s a big cat but very friendly.
“If only they could talk!”
