More than 1,000 people are expecting to take part in the Fylde coast’s first colour run tomorrow to raise money for a popular hospice.
Starting at Starr Gate and running along the beach towards St Annes, competitors are expected to paint the town in reds, blues, pinks and greens for Trinity Hospice.
We are really looking forward to the event and hope it will raise lots of money for us in our 30th birthday year
The colour splash will take joggers down the beach towards St Annes on a 5km circular course from 11am to 3pm.
At each kilometre there is a powder paint shower station, so by the finish competitors will be wearing every colour of the rainbow.
Entrants receive a runner number, powder paint to start their colour splurge and a pair of sunglasses.
Shirley Morgan, communications manager at the charity, said: “We are really looking forward to the event and hope it will raise lots of money for us in our 30th birthday year.”
