Man's body found on Blackpool beach
A man's body was found on the beach at Blackpool early today (Saturday).
The grim discovery was made shortly before 6am near New South Promenade.
There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Lancashire police spokesman said police were alerted at around 5.45am today to reports that a man's body had been found on the beach near New South Promenade.
The spokesman said: "The death is not believed to be suspicious.
"A file will been passed onto HM Coroner.
"Inquiries are under way to trace the man's family."
No further details have been released.
