Two teenage stage award nominees will have to wait a little longer to be reunited in a new production of Grease.

Owen Broughton and Grace Robson are to play the lead roles of Danny and Sandy in Our Lady Star of the Sea Youth Theatre’s production of the classic musical.

But it has been put back from its originally-intended date this month to early May, because of cast members’ commitments elsewhere.

Owen and Grace appeared on stage together in last autumn’s Clifton Academy production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, and were both nominated in the last round of National Operatic and Dramatic Association regional awards.

Grease will now take place at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish Centre, St Albans Road, St Annes on May 2 and 3.

A spokesman said: “A few of our members are in many other productions with schools, colleges and other drama groups, so we have really struggled to try and accommodate everyone.”
