A man who has links to the Fylde has gone missing.

Mark MacMahon, 52, who has links to Lytham, was last seen on Sharoe Green Lane in Fulwood, Preston, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Police believe he is still in Lancashire.

Insp Wendy Fitzgerald said: “We know [Mark] has links to Preston and to the Lytham area and so would urge people across the county to be vigilant.

“Mark has some mobility issues and a further medical condition which means that he cannot feel the cold and therefore both we as the police and his family have concerns for him if he is outside without shelter in this cold weather.

“If anyone has seen him then we would ask them to contact us as soon as possible.” Mr MacMahon is white with short dark brown hair and is clean shaven.

He is of a large build with a pale complexion and wears glasses.

When he was last seen he was wearing a dark T-shirt, dark trousers and a brown coat. He uses crutches to help him to walk.

Anyone who has seen him should call police on 101.
