It’s feared Rory Johnson may have got into difficulty while walking near the River Ouse and the police underwater search unit is carrying out searches in the area. Mr Johnson, who it is believed is a former Lytham High School pupil but now lives in Skipton, was last seen by his friend at 12.15am on Friday when he left the York Central Travelodge where they were staying the night.

He never returned to the hotel and failed to turn up for work on Friday evening. Police say his mobile phone was also going to answer phone and he has not been in contact with his family.
