OLLY MURS’ appearance in Lytham this summer has prompted an unprecedented stampede for tickets.
A thousand tickets in an hour were sold as the box office opened for Olly’s show at the Proms on August 5, with a spokesman for organisers Cuffe and Taylor confirming: “It’s our biggest seller yet!”
A special offer of four Olly tickets for the price of three runs out tonight (Thursday) and St Annes-based Cuffe and Taylor, who are also bringing Alfie Boe and a host of 80s stars under the Here and Now banner to Lytham over the Proms weekend, are delighted with early demand.
“We knew that Olly Murs was popular and that bringing him to Lytham would be the icing on the cake for Lytham Proms Festival Weekend, but you are just never 100 per cent sure how ticket sales will go,” added the spokesman.
“They have gone amazingly well. We had a pre-sale allocation for fans on the Thursday and they sold out by mid-morning, and the main tickets have been our fastest selling yet.”
The VIP packages for all three nights have gone particularly well so far and are expected to sell out.
The Sunday night VIP package, priced at £89, is the slightly more informal cocktail and canapés format. Ticket and VIP package details at www.lythamproms.co.uk or 0844 888 9991.
