Founded in 1987 and based in Blackpool since 1990, it made nearly 18,000 Neapolitan chocolates to be given to Virgin Trains customers, as a gift to at the Station-to-Station Queen’s Birthday Celebrations events at selected stations along the West Coast.

Andy Bradbury, managing director of Coronation Confectionery Promotions, said: “We have worked closely with Virgin Trains for several years and are proud to be working with them to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 90 th Birthday.

“Our Neapolitan chocolates are British-made and complete with the Union Jack design on the wrappers, so are a tasty little patriotic treat.” He said the company looks forward to years where special events take place and had a particularly busy time when the 2012 Olympics were held in London.

He said: “This year is a busy one with the Queen’s 90th, the European Championships and the Olympics coming up. We also tend to be busy as you would expect ahead of celebrations such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter. We have more than 100 different lines but we do a lot of bespoke orders which we often have to turn around with short lead in times.
