7. Roxy
Breed: American Akita. Age: Approximately 8. The RSPCA say: Roxy arrived at the centre via an RSPCA inspector as her owner was no longer able to care for her. Roxy is a friendly and generally well mannered girl who has a fantastic temperament with people. Roxy is very interested in other dogs whilst out walking, however she doesn’t always know how to interact politely with certain ones so we feel she will be better suited to a home where she is the only pet. 8. Aigo
Breed: German Shepherd. Age: Approximately 2. The RSPCA say: Handsome Aigo is in need of a very special home. He arrived at the centre via an inspector due to concerns for his welfare. Aigo has had an extremely poor and unsettled start to life which has left him struggling to trust people. He is a very nervous dog when meeting new people and although it takes a bit of time to gain his trust, he is a very affectionate boy once he knows you. Due to an accident before arrival at the centre, Aigo had to have surgery to amputate his left hind leg. He has adjusted very well to life with three legs and is slowly building up muscle on his remaining hind leg as his exercise has been increased. Photo: RSPCA
9. Smartie
Breed: Domestic Shorthair. Age: Approximately 12. The RSPCA say: Smartie is a beautiful senior lady with the gentlest nature who is looking for a second chance at happiness. As soon as she arrived at the centre, she stole the hearts of the cattery staff. She enjoys the comfort of her trusty hidey home as this is where she spends most of her time relaxing and watching the world go by. She is still shy but has grown in confidence and once she knows you, she will pop her head out of her hidey home and seek human contact. Photo: RSPCA
10. Leonardo
Breed: Domestic Shorthair. Age: Unknown. The RSPCA say: Handsome hunk Leonardo came into the centre after being abandoned by his previous owner. He is a friendly and chatty cat who is extremely food orientated! Leonardo is always happy to see you and particularly loves a fuss and a head rub. We are looking for a loving and quiet home that is away from busy roads and railway lines to allow Leonardo safe outdoor access so he can explore his new neighbourhood. Photo: RSPCA
11. Callum
Breed: Domestic Shorthair. Age: Unknown. The RSPCA say: Shy boy Callum came to the centre after being found as a stray. It has taken a while for us to gain his trust as he was very scared, but with time and patience we are starting to see a huge difference in him. Callum's confidence has grown so much and he is becoming quite a vocal and affectionate boy. Photo: RSPCA
12. Topsy
Breed: Domestic Shorthair. Age: Approximately 4. The RSPCA say: Topsy arrived in our care after being abandoned by her previous owner. She is such a character with an attentive nature but with a little sprinkle of sass at the same time! Topsy was understandably very hostile and unsettled in her first few weeks at the centre. It helped that we placed Topsy away from other cats and in a quieter section of the cattery which has seen her demeanour improve. Photo: RSPCA
