The shop on St Albans Road brings the Bispham-based hospice’s total number of shops in the town to three, after the opening of its new book and music store on Wood Street supporting its dedicated children’s hospice, Brian House, on Monday, April 12.

The hospice also has a presence in St Annes Square, opened several years ago.

Trinity's delight at grand haul of donations

“We have seen exceptional levels of support since re-opening our donation centre in March so that we could prepare our shops for re-opening, in line with national Covid restrictions, on April 12.

“Our new Brian House book and music store has been warmly welcomed, with lots of people coming in to grab a bargain and learn more about the work we do for our area’s most fragile children and their families.

“A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, whether they’ve made a donation or visited one of our shops – you have all helped Trinity to provide exceptional, outstanding care to all who need it across the Fylde coast.”

The charity hasn’t yet released an opening date for the new shop, which is slightly out of the town centre, at the junction of St Patrick's Road South, in what was formerly a fitness centre.

But as the new shops open, Trinity is calling for donations of all good-quality items, including furniture. The charity is also looking for retail volunteers, with roles in the shop and donation centres, as well as home-based uploading items to sell on its eBay store.

Details about donating or applying to become a volunteer are at www.trinityhospice.co.uk.
