Lit up in red with a white heart, the landmark will glow to mark The Gazette’s 150th anniversary.

We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate delivering the news since 1873 than shining bright through the lights of our fabulous tower.

In a week of celebrations as we mark 150 years in our town, Vanessa Sims, editor of the Blackpool Gazette, said: "Growing up in Blackpool, The Gazette has always been a huge part of my life.

"We had it delivered to our house regularly when I was a child and my dad would always snap it up for the sport and my mum and grandparents would always spend ages trawling through the pages."The Gazette is a lot of things to a lot of people.
