The accident occurred on Fleetwood Road South in Thornton on Sunday October 4.
Owner John McCann, who has another husky called Zeus, said: "As you can imagine, facilities weren’t easily accessible on a Sunday so it us took us a total of 80 minutes to relieve Kilo from pain.
"Both halves of his pelvis have been fractured and he has suffered severe damage to one of his legs.

"His brother Zeus misses him dearly and hasn’t been the same since he left. It’s broken our hearts.
"Thankfully, we have managed to locate a veterinary service that can help our boy Kilo, after being advised by two services that this operation may not have been possible."
The family has launched a GoFundMe camapign to try and raise funds towards the vets bill.

"So far we have covered the majority of the hurdles we have faced but yet, some still remain."
