Police investigate 'suspicious' house fire
A fire that broke out at a house in central Blackpool late last night is being treated as suspicious.
Two fire engines from Blackpool's Forest Gate station and one from South Shore were called to the home, in Cunliffe Road, where they found stairs had been set alight.
However, the fire was out by the time they arrived at around 11.10pm, a spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said.
Nobody was hurt, and a joint investigation involving both police and fire officers has now been launched.
