The visit to Wrea Green Equitation Centre was organised thanks to funding from Brian House volunteer Mike Lovell, working with the Seaside Venture Group, which is part of Riding for the Disabled.

Shirley Morgan, spokesman for Brian House, which Brian House provides respite care to life-limited children from all over the Fylde Coast, said: “We have regular visits from all sorts of animals – from dogs to donkeys – but being able to travel to Wrea Green and actually visit the stables was a real treat.

“Four children went along and met two of the ponies in a wonderful session that left everyone smiling.”

Chris Pollitt, of the Wrea Green Centre, said: “We were delighted to be able to welcome Brian House to interact in pony playtime.”
