RITA Ora has prompted a Lytham Proms ticket frenzy.
The three-time chart-topper’s eagerly-anticipated headlining appearance in August has become the fastest-selling show in the four-year history of Lytham Proms.
That is some achievement considering that Rita is following Boyzone and Olly Murs as Sunday headliner.
But promoters Cuffe and Taylor Management say the phones and internet have been red hot ever since tickets for Rita’s show went on sale last Friday.
“The level of response to the Rita Ora show has been amazing,” said a Cuffe and Taylor spokesman. “It has been our fastest-selling Lytham Proms show yet. I think three number one singles, a number one album and Brit Award nominations have really rocketed Rita’s profile.
“Many people have been asking how we could possibly get her to Lytham Proms!
“Not only that, but with two amazing support acts, this is sure to be another sellout concert and we are urging people to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment.”
Rita, 22, whose No 1 hits have been Hot Right Now, How We Do and R.I.P, will play Lytham on Sunday, August 4 and will be supported by Conor Maynard and girl band Stooshe, along with the winner of Fylde’s Got Talent.
The Sunday night line-up was the last to be announced after a host of 1980s stars were confirmed for the Friday night bill and tenor Russell Watson as the lead act on the Saturday of the three-night festival.
