The new-look feature at Summerfield Day Nursery in St Annes Road East, St Annes, complete with blackboard and other items to be found indoors, has been a real community effort, according to manager Kim Morton - and the celebration unveiling was held in ideal conditions on one of the sunnest days of the year so far.

Kim said: “Our outside classroom has recently been revamped on a tight budget using everyday resources supplied by friends and parents – so a real community project, and our day out in the sun was a lovely way to celebrate the changes.

“It was wonderful to see all our children playing, learning and having fun.”
