After graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, Nicola became a soprano of international repute and a music tutor.

She is a popular soloist with the choir having performed with it more often than any other soloist throughout its 107-year existence.

After taking office, she was presented a silver brooch in the form of a treble clef by Eric Waite, widower of the former president.

Next performance by the choir will be in November and will include a collection of arrangements of seven popular spirituals ending with When The Saints Go Marching In.
