Stand by for star-packed Festival '“ and new VIP area
Lytham Festival 2017 is to include an extra night of live music '“ and will offer a new VIP experience with the launch of The Festival Village.
The full line-up will be announced on Sunday evening for next summer’s Festival, which will feature three very different VIP experiences – The Marquee, The Terraces and, new for 2017, The Garden, which will accommodate around 1,000 people and can be experienced for a £25 upgrade on a concert ticket.
Lytham Festival director Peter Taylor said: “We want to offer a whole new VIP experience for 2017. We are already offering an extra night of live music but in addition to that we want to ensure as many people as possible can enjoy a VIP upgrade.
“Our VIP marquee has always been incredibly popular as have the Terraces but we’ve decided we need to offer an extra upgrade that is still exclusive but is less formal.
“The Garden is just that and we expect this to be extremely popular.”
The full-line-up for the 2017 event, including five nights of music for the first time, will be revealed at www.lythamfestival.com at 7pm on Sunday, when tickets will immediately go on sale.
Peter added: “We are very excited about announcing all the main headline acts for Lytham Festival this weekend.
“Once again we have an eclectic mix of music stars from across the globe and we are confident 2017 will be a year that has mass appeal to a very wide audience.
“We have been planning next year’s festival for months and have put a real emphasis on ensuring we have pop stars and musicians to suit every age group, so watch this space.”
More weekend tickets have been sold than ever before for Lytham Festival 2017 in anticipation of the acts that will be performing.
Some 3,000 early bird tickets have already been eagerly snapped up – last year just 500 were sold in advance of the acts, including Bryan Adams and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, being announced.
Peter said: “Lytham Festival 2016 saw us bring globally renowned stars to Lytham and, on the back of that, 3,000 people have already secured weekend tickets for 2017. That’s the largest amount of tickets we have ever sold before announcing who is performing.
“The result of that is when we go on sale on Sunday evening there will be just 1,000 Weekend Passes remaining.”
