The Lytham Gin company, founded earlier this year by local businesswoman Sara Dewhurst, has extended its range with a bespoke brew named after the Lytham In Bloom team.

It’s a dry pink gin described as ‘infused with pink rose, apricot and hibiscus, with just a hint of fruit and flowers’ – and the volunteers declared it absolutely delicious as they were given a sample taste.

Sara said: “Our award-winning Lytham in Bloom volunteers do a great job, so what better way to commemorate their efforts?”

“We really appreciate the kind gesture,” said Lytham In Bloom vice-chairman Susan Evans.

“The community spirit in the town is very special, so what better way to celebrate than with a spirit of our own?“

The gin is available by the bottle at Sara’s Le Roti shop in Park Street and a donation for every bottle sold will go to the Lytham in Bloom charity.
