Terrified driver fights off carjacker
The victim, a 26-year-old man, only escaped by reversing his car, causing the attacker to fall into the road.
The assailant then walked in front of a bus causing it to stop, before running off.

Hide AdToday, police are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which happened as the driver was sitting in his orange Fiat Punto outside the Thoroughgoods shop in St Alban’s Road, St Annes, at about 11.45pm on Wednesday.
Officers said the attacker suddenly opened his car door and grabbed him.
PC Sarah Houldsworth, from Blackpool CID, said: “Immediately following the incident the offender has walked into the path of a bus causing the bus to stop for several minutes.
“There was also a group of friends standing nearby who the offender had been shouting at prior to the incident, so I would be particularly keen to hear from anyone on the bus or from this group of friends.”

Hide AdThe man police are looking for is described as white, approximately 30 to 40 years old, of medium build and between 5ft 5in and 6ft tall, wearing a dark coloured T-shirt and dark coloured tracksuit bottoms.
