Topping library charts is child's play for Lee

Suspense-packed thriller Personal by British author Lee Child was the most borrowed book in the North West's libraries during the last year, it has been revealed.

Crime fiction and thrillers proved hugely popular in the region with eight of the Top 10 Most Borrowed Books in North West belonging to the genre.

Three titles by James Patterson also feature in the Top 10. Patterson is the most borrowed author in libraries across the UK as a whole for the ninth year running.

Data released by the Public Lending Right (PLR) office shows exactly which books and authors proved most popular with library borrowers between July 2014 and June 2015.
