Blackpool Transport suspends all tram services between Starr Gate and Fleetwood due to Storm Pia

Blackpool Transport has confirmed that all tram services are suspended until further notice due to the high winds.

The decision was made at 10.30am to cancel all journeys on the 11-mile stretch of tramway from Starr Gate to Fleetwood.

Blackpool Transport said replacement buses "will be out as soon as possible" to serve the 38 stops along the tram network.

It comes as forecasters warn of 60mph gusts hitting Blackpool and the Fylde Coast today, with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning until 3pm.
