UPDATE: Motorist arrested after crash between car and mobility scooter in Blackpool
A motorist has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash at the junction of Waterloo Road and St Annes Road in Blackpool.
The accident involved a silver VW Golf and mobility scooter at around 3pm, with initial reports suggesting at least one person was seriously hurt.
The ambulance service said paramedics, and a senior clinician, were at the scene, while police said a man on the mobility scooter suffered an arm injury.
Blackpool Transport said its number five and seven buses were being diverted, though the road reopened at around 3.40pm.
