Tuning up for festival
Fylde singer Tony Benedict and Gazette columnist Steve Canavan, who is organiser of St Annes Folk Club and a performer in his own right, will be among the more than 20 acts taking part in the St Annes Music and Arts Festival later this month.
Both are included on the final day bill of the three-day event, which will feature an open air stage in the town’s Ashton Gardens from July 27 to 29.
Performances will be from 5pm until 9pm on the Friday and 11.45am to 9pm the following two days. Calva Louise, Night Train and Touch the Pearl are the respective headliners and admission is free.
The Gardens will also host a craft and arts and market on the Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am to 5pm, while music will also feature at a number of venues around town during the weekend, including the Pavilion Cafe, No 15 pub and the Urban Arts Studio.
