Two of the hottest up and coming artists on the current UK music scene are heading to the Fylde coast this summer for what is lining up to be a sensational Lytham Proms Festival Weekend.
Singer-songwriters Ed Drewett and Charlie Brown have been confirmed in the line-up for the big Sunday evening finale of the three-day summer musical extravaganza on August 4.
Lytham Proms Festival Weekend runs from August 2 to 4 on Lytham Green, with three nights of music programmed.
Heading up that final night is Brit Award nominee and number one-selling artist Rita Ora, with guests Conor Maynard and Stooshe.
Ed and Charlie, who are both being tipped as up and coming stars of the UK music scene, will be joining that line up.
Essex-born singer-songwriter Ed Drewett is best known for the acclaimed single ‘I Need You Tonight’, a collaboration with Professor Green produced by The ThundaCatz. It reached number three in the UK charts.
Described as a “household-name-in-waiting”, Ed has collaborated with The Wanted and last year’s Lytham Festival headliner Olly Murs, helping pen songs for his latest album ‘Right Place Right Time’.
Charlie Brown is from south London. The 26-year-old singer, songwriter and producer has penned hit songs for the likes of Jay Sean and The Script.
Peter Taylor, festival director at Cuffe & Taylor, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have signed up Ed and Charlie.
“The line-up just keeps getting stronger and stronger.
“In these two artists we are showcasing real, emerging bright contemporary UK talent.
“Both are terrific singers and writers and it is a real coup to have them.”
