A woman was treated by ambulance workers after being dragged away from the sea in Blackpool.
A trio of charity workers from soup kitchen Amazing Graze, spotted the woman on steps close to Manchester Square on Monday night.
They were able to haul her away from the water and onto the Promenade, remaining with her until emergency services arrived at the scene.
The incident happened at around 11pm just south of Central Pier.
Lancashire Police confirmed officers were called to an incident opposite the Funky Towers hotel at around 11pm involving a woman who had been rescued from the sea wall.
She was taken by ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
There was a high tide and strong waves at the time of the incident.
