Your garden can help RNLI's appeal grow
Members of the Lytham St Annes RNLI Ladies Guild are hoping to generate funds for the lifeboat station’s Shannon appeal by setting up an open gardens weekend across Lytham St Annes and want to hear from homeowners willing to take part.
The Lytham St Annes station is looking to raise £275,000 towards a new Shannon-class lifeboat which is set to come into service next year as replacement for the current Mersey-class craft, which is approaching the end of its active life.

Gary Bird, coxswain at the RNLI station in St Annes, said: “It’s a great idea. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the fund-raising of the Ladies Guild. They are the backbone of the service and we hope this initiative is well supported.”
