BWFAC take a break from cross country
The winner was Stuart Robinson, a former BWFAC member now representing Salford Harriers, in 70:59.
The first BWFAC runner was Ian Dawson in 33rd (83:36), with James Unsworth 55th (86:42) and Bev Wright 105th, eighth lady (92:55) and first Vet 55.

Hide AdOther BWFAC runners were Paul Beech (107th, 93:12), Nicola Unsworth (161st, 1:41:56), Daniel Smith (166th, 1:42:29), Jeff Wilson (29th, 1:49:34), Simon Scarr (248th, 1:55:02), Mark Wright (258th, 1:57:04), Bob Massey (308th, 2:08:07) and Clare Clark (309th, 2:08:21).
Fiona Hockey celebrated her 20th birthday by competing in Vault Cardiff, clearing 3.52m in the pole vault.
Meanwhile nearer home, 16 young athletes tested their winter training by competing in the Sale Open meeting at Sportcity in Manchester.
Katy Wyper, fresh from her gold medal success in the 60m at the Northern Indoor Championships, tested out her form over 200m by posting an encouraging 24.91.

Hide AdThat was enough to place her seventh in the 200m UK rankings at this early stage of the 2018 season.
Under-20 runner Faith Wood returned to competitive action after nearly 18 months by sprinting the 60m in 8.79s.
Among the standout performances were PBs by Under-15 competitor Mary-Jayne Broomhead in the 60m (8.41s) and 200m (28.66s) and Under-20 member Alex Hughes in the 60m (7.47s) and 200m (23.42s).
In the high jump, Under-15 athletes Leah Howard (1.50m) and Sebby Holt (1.45m) both equalled their PBs.

Jack (18:40), Michelle (22:59), Simon (23:07), Lucy (23:21) and Holly (26:20) all ran.
At Blackpool, Paul Sparrow ran 20:38 and Nicola Unsworth 21:12 to finish ahead of Danielle Baines (25:08), Rafael Eaton (25:08), John Cardwell (32:26), Andy Hume (32:34), Nickola Walker (32:34) and Fiona Little (38:20), while Peter Singleton (22:15) and Howard Henshaw (31:40) were at Lytham Hall.
