AFC Fylde defender Emeka Obi aims to continue goal-grabbing pre-season against former club Wigan Athletic
AFC Fylde defender Emeka Obi would love to continue his pre-season goal rush against former club Wigan Athletic at Mill Farm tonight (7.30).
The 20-year-old centre-back loves to get forward and told the club website: “It can be difficult to score goals in our league and so set-pieces can be a huge advantage for us.
“I can’t wait to see some familiar faces on Tuesday and it’s great to have the fans back, but you have to make sure you stay f0c8sed ajd don’t let anything distract you.”
That 5-1 win over Wales' oldest club in Wrexham was not as straightforward as it may sound, coming at the end of a rigorous week-long training camp at Dale army barracks in Chester.
Obi added; “The heat was crazy on Saturday and it was a tough game.
“The camp was a good opportunity to get to know some of the lads. It was a tough week but good for the boys.”
