Latest signing Junior Mondal had a goal disallowed by an offside flag, then Kurt Willoughby and Ben Tollitt both went close.

Despite a flurry of substitutions, the second half was quiet on the field and the workout will have pleased the watching Fylde boss Jim Bentley.

The Coasters follow this with a game away to Northern Premier League club Warrington Town on Saturday.

AFC Fylde season tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am.

Chairman David Haythornthwaite has pledged to refund supporters affected in the event the club has to restrict or refuse entry to any game.

And for the coming season, home supporters will be able to buy season tickets for the South Stand behind the goal.

A club statement reads: “Safety is paramount for us and for you but so is entertainment and excitement. We want to offer that as well and we are sure that as a club our transfer window business has shown that Jim Bentley’s side will be competing right at the top of the league.

“We are continuing to work tirelessly with industry-leading experts to ensure supporter safety is the number one priority as we look to get you back to Mill Farm.

“These plans include a comprehensive seating plan, social-distancing guidelines involving signs and floor markings, as well expert technology allowing refreshments to be delivered to your seat as you enjoy the game. That means beer, wine and food can be consumed in seating and standing areas, without missing a kick or being in a queue.”
