Danny Philliskirk netted in each half before new signing Gime Toure completed the scoring late on at the Tameside Stadium.

Philliskirk broke the deadlock in the sixth minute, tapping home after confusion in the home defencer left them appealing for an offside decision which never came.

It could have been 2-0 six minutes later but Serhat Tasdemir dragged his effort wide of the home goal.

Joe Guest twice came close to getting Curzon back on terms in the first half, heading narrowly wide before seeing a second effort deflected off target.

Both sides again failed to test the keeper before the break, Joe Cardle firing over for the Coasters and Chris Rowney doing likewise for Curzon.

Tasdemir was foiled by a good save from Cam Mason but should have scored when he got through one-on-one, only to hit the woodwork.

Philliskirk showed him how it should be done on 63 minutes when he doubled the Coasters’ lead.

Cardle delivered the ball in from the left and Philliskirk found the net with a half-volley.

Neill Byrne headed Cardle’s free-kick over the home goal before Danny Shaw came close to pulling one back for the Nash, meeting Guest’s corner but sending it narrowly off target.

The scoring was completed three minutes from time when some fine football from Dave Challinor’s men ended with James Hardy putting a ball across the box for Toure to tap home.

It completed a satisfactory afternoon for Challinor’s men who start the season at home to Bromley on Saturday.
