The winger, who had been out since December 19, was a second-half substitute during Blackpool’s 1-1 draw.

The 25-year-old will be much better off for his 30-minute cameo, having also played for 45 minutes during a recent behind-closed-doors friendly against Burnley.

“He’s had no reactions,” Pool boss Neil Critchley said.

“It’s great to have him back, it was a great bonus that he got on the pitch.

“We just have to manage him correctly now. He’s gone from being out since Christmas to having his matchday involvement in March, so as staff, we just have to discuss how we build his minutes and match fitness back up.

“He’s an important player for us and I think he showed that for us with how he can stretch the game for you and pin the opposition defences back.

“Pace worries defenders and he’s got that in abundance.”

Elsewhere, James Husband and Gary Madine are both closing in on a return, while Daniel Gretarsson will train next week.
