Hide AdBlackburn weren’t much better, but they did enough to take all three points to move up to fourth place in the table.
“I’m pleased, it’s a win in front of our fans. I think it was a well deserved win as well,” Tomasson said.
“Big praise to the players. It’s been a tough schedule but we’ve dealt with it in a tremendous way.
“We played some good football and created some good opportunities, but the frustrating thing is we didn’t get a second goal.

Hide Ad“We controlled the game though and I think the fans enjoyed it. We have the double over our local rivals now so it’s been a good night.
“Blackpool are fighting for their lives but we controlled the game in a positive way.”
Tomasson was especially pleased with the nature of Blackburn’s goal, which was a well-worked move from their point of view.
“It’s good to see things we worked on in training come to fruition for the goal,” he added.
