Full extent of injury to Blackpool defender revealed ahead of games against Wigan Athletic and Derby County

The defender was forced off with a thigh problem in the early stages of Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Portsmouth at Bloomfield Road, and missed the subsequent 1-0 victory away to Northampton Town on Tuesday night.

Ahead of this weekend’s game against Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium, Seasiders boss Neil Critchley has revealed the full extent of Husband’s injury.

"He’s going to be out for a few weeks so we’ll be missing him- he’s had a scan,” he said.

"With Andy (Lyons) going, Hubby going and Albie (Morgan) being out at the moment we’re going to need the bodies. Olly Casey has come in and been excellent, it’s not brilliant playing left sided centre half as a right footer but he competed very well (against Northampton), stepping in and driving forward with the ball- just playing with confidence. He’s a good player and he’s going to get better.”
