Late change to the line up?

Mick McCarthy's first game in charge of the Seasiders is underway.

Up the mighty Pool!!

The first shot of the afternoon comes the way of Southampton as Mislav Orsic curls well wide from 25 yards out. Chris Maxwell still dived but the ball was always heading wide of goal.

A corner is partially cleared to Romain Perraud, but he drags his effort harmlesslt wide.

Some 1,500 or so Seasiders are in fine voice in the corner of St Mary’s. Top effort to come all that way.

Pretty uneventful start. Saints with most of the ball, as you'd expect, but they've offered very little other than dragging a couple of shots well wide.

11 - Lucky, lucky boy

Sekou Mara a little fortunate to get away with only a yellow for what looked to be a studs up challenge on Chris Maxwell.

"VAR" is the chant from the Blackpool fans.

I’ve watched a replay in the press box and that’s a red. Very reckless.

CJ Hamilton is shown a yellow card as Samuel Edozie gets the wrong side of him. Slack there from the wing-back.

22 - GOAL SAINTS (1-0)

Romain Perraud's free-kick goes through the wall and deceives Chris Maxwell.

Soft one.
