While clubs around Europe have been placing cardboard cut-outs on their empty seats, Fleetwood have come up with their own variation linked to the town's annual scarecrow festival.

Supporters have been asked to design scarecrows to be placed in the stadium for the first leg on Friday, July 3.

These can be left at the main reception at Highbury from Monday, June 29. The best will win prizes, so leave your name and contact details with your scarecrow.

Anyone unable to visit the ground can arrange for their scarecrow to be collected by emailing [email protected].

Chairman Andy Pilley told the club website: “Our supporters and the town of Fleetwood will know all about this tradition. It seems apt that we can link the festival to this unique way of backing the lads.

“For the team to achieve success on the pitch it is a real team effort, and we want to see our supporters and their families really get behind the team.”
