YMCA made the journey over to east Lancashire on Sunday for their second-round tie and came away with an emphatic victory.

They took control of the tie right from the start and played some excellent football to lead 6-0 at half-time.

Their dominance continued into the second half and they went on to add five further goals.

Harry Dyer led the way with a well-taken hat-trick, with Zane Seddon, Oliver Williamson and Archie Hingley all notching braces.

Strikes from Nat Gili-Ross and Keaton Adams completed the scoring.

Daniel Fryer scored a massive seven goals as Kirkham Blues beat Highfield Grange 12-2, with further goals coming from Fraser Burton (2), Lewis Weaver, Joe Warbrick and Pamusa Sarr.

There was a hat-trick for Louis Johnstone as Thornton Cleveleys Reds beat Daten Youth 6-2, with Joe Waterhouse, Nathan Beckett and Lewis Barnes completing the scoring.

Harvey Bateman and Tim Woodman scored for Poulton as they drew 2-2 at Westbury Sports, with the visitors going through 7-6 on penalties.

Kaiden Shorrocks also had a large goal haul as his four saw Foxhall progress 7-4 at Lammack, with Harry Melia (2) and Dylan Henshall also on target.

However, BJFF Vipers lost 3-0 at Bolton Indians.

In the Silver League, FC Rangers were the top scorers as Matthew Guy netted four in their 8-1 win at Lytham Blues. Ryan Henson scored a brace, with Carl Wallace and Jayden Watts completing the scoring. Archie Kirkham replied for the Blues.

Lytham’s Maroons also lost as Kallum Illingworth scored a consolation in their 4-1 defeat against Thornton Cleveleys Whites. Prince Yelegon (2), Joel Haworth and Jaydn Walsh scored for the Whites.

Alfie Renshaw and Dominic Turner gave Kirkham Reds a 2-1 victory against Foxhall Hoops, for whom Connor Satchell scored.

Dan Fletcher scored for Foxhall in their Lancashire FA Cup tie at Breightmet, but it wasn’t enough to stop the game going to penalties, in which the hosts progressed 8-7. Kevin McGow scored a consolation for St Annes Green as they went out 3-1 to Kirkham Reds, for whom Josh Marshall (2) and Will Critchley scored.

Lytham Juniors Home Heat crashed out with a 10-0 defeat at Mill Hill.

In the league, Poulton moved up to second place as a Sydney Sullivan hat-trick sent them on their way to a 6-1 win at Spirit of Youth.

Oliver Holt, Steven Lambert and Mike Finch also scored, with Kyle Townsend replying for Spirit.

A Jack Smith brace handed Layton a 2-1 win at Blackpool Rangers Seasiders, for whom Cameron Cregg replied.

Goals from Will Carter (2), Harvey Hurst, William Dowbiggin and Dom Mitchell gave Warton Typhoons a 5-4 win at FC Rangers.

Foxhall Hoops missed out on the chance to go top as they drew for the second week in a row, with Dan Holt’s goal not enough to give them the victory.

Joel Heaton scored for Staining in the 1-1 draw, which was their first point of the season.

Oli Pitt scored both goals as St Annes beat Warton Typhoons 2-1, with Ryan Holgate grabbing the Typhoon’s goal.

YMCA Under-11s won their opening Poulton and District Primary League Cup group match in style 6-2 against Blackpool Rangers Tangerines.

YMCA had not played for three weeks but settled quickly to lead 2-0 at the interval.

They remained on top and added a further four goals, with Rangers netting two.

The outstanding Ali Ruman and George Denye both netted braces, with Reece Godfrey and Luke Doherty also finding the back of the net. Noah Morris and Syd Pearson both gave solid displays in defence.

YMCA’s Under-12s ran out 7-1 winners at home to Spirit of Youth Yellows.

YMCA took the lead midway through the first half but failed to convert several chances to extend their lead and were made to pay at Spirit equalised.

However, YMCA dictated play after the restart and once they regained the lead they never looked back, adding a further five goals.

Noah Mawene capped an outstanding performance by notching five, with Jacob Buchan and Harry Gledhill also finding the target.

YMCA’s Under-14s also hit seven with a convincing win against Wyre Juniors Blacks.

Wyre made a spirited start to the game and took an early lead. But YMCA responded well and soon levelled the scores with a strike by Josh Dolby-Armstrong.

After the lively visitors had deservedly restored their lead, they were again pegged back when Brogan Grundy made it 2-2 at the interval.

The second period was a different affair as YMCA took control of the contest, adding five further goals.

Dolby-Armstrong, Grundy and Jacob Grice all scored two each, with Dimitri Jackson completing the scoring.

Liam Brown and Callum Fielding both impressed throughout, while Jack Robinson performed well as a makeshift goalkeeper.

The comfortable wins for YMCA kept on coming as the Under-15s won 6-0 away at Fleetwood Gym, their first win of the campaign after a disappointing opening month.

YMCA were on top throughout the first half and went into the interval with a 3-0 lead. They remained in control and added three further goals in an excellent team display.

Taylor Stock capped a fine performance with a hat-trick, with Jake Molloy, Harvey Shaw and Olly Fishwick also on target.

Meanwhile Wyre Juniors Whites ran out 4-1 winners away at Spirit of Youth Vipers Under-13s.

Ronan Truby grabbed Vipers’ only goal, with goalkeeper Jack Grove taking the plaudits after making some fantastic saves.
