McDonald: Don't show any mercy
Not since 2008 have today’s opponents lost six games on the bounce, a run which has seen them fall below Blackpool into the relegation zone.
Friday’s 4-1 hammering by then bottom club Colchester has left them two points behind Pool with a game in hand. And McDonald has called on his players to show no mercy on their hosts today

“We have to capitalise on their nerves at home now, hopefully we can take advantage of that.”
After a poor run of five defeats in six games, Blackpool have gone two unbeaten and picked up four points from a possible six.
It’s improved their chances of survival, although this afternoon’s game could be crucial.

“We can take four from the Easter period now, and that’s what we want.
“We have to play on the counter-attack and create lots of chance. If we do that we’ll have a really good chance of winning.
“Every game is going to be nervous now. We want everyone to get behind the team and believe in us.”
