Sessi D'Almeida also makes way and is out of the squad altogether. Viv Solomon-Otabor is the man to take his place in the side.

Elsewhere, Mark Cullen and Jim McAlister remain out with injuries.

This will be Blackpool's first appearance since January 20, when they lost 2-0 at the Kingsmeadow to fellow relegation strugglers AFC Wimbledon.

Their match last weekend against Charlton Athletic was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Gigg Lane surface appears to be in a worse state than Bloomfield Road last weekend, but referee Jeremy Simpson appears satisfied and is happy to go ahead with the game.

Today's opponents Bury are rooted to the bottom of the League One table having won just five games all season.

Former Pool players Peter Clarke and Neil Danns line up for the Shakers.

Blackpool, meanwhile, have won just two of their last 13 games.
