Town boss Rosler to keep on rotating

Cameron Brannagan had his first start for Town in midweek

Before the January transfer window the German had already started rotating his strike force, but after adding Markus Schwabl and Cameron Brannagan to his squad last month, he has now been able to mix things up in the middle of the park.

Schwabl and Liverpool loanne Brannagan got the nod in the 2-1 midweek win over Bradford City.

It was Brannagan’s first start for Town and a tough introduction to League One, one which Rosler hopes will be a learning curve as he plans to rotate and refresh once again tomorrow.

He said: “It was a tough game, they overpowered us first half, put the ball into the corner flags on the outside of the three centre-halves, pinned us, turned us and played their one-twos in the final third.

“It was tough for him (Brannagan) but it was a great learning curve for him coming from Liverpool completely different football.

“I think he did well, especially when he moved into the 10 position

“I had a lot of options up front with changing the personnel, refreshing things, but – the midfield – I never really had.

“Now, with Markus and with Cameron, we have players coming in where now I can rotate a little bit.

“MK Dons is a massive pitch; we need a lot of legs on that pitch. We are playing against a very good footballing side there and there will be some changes.”

Town made it 15 unbeaten in the league thanks to that comeback win over the Bantams in midweek.

Rosler hailed Stuart McCall’s men as the best team to have played at Highbury this term and is proud of his team.

He said: “(The unbeaten run) is fantastic.

“We didn’t talk too much before the game (against Bradford) about the unbeaten run.

“We just wanted to just give a better performance than we did against Rochdale, and in the second half, we delivered very well.

“(On Tuesday) we played against the best team we have played this season at Highbury.

“The first half, that (Bradford) team was outstanding and winning that game after being a little bit outplayed first half speaks massive volumes.

“Psychologically, them scoring just three minutes before half-time was a bad moment for us and, to come back, this group of is unbelievable

“I’m so happy and proud to be with them, lead them and help them to fulfil their dreams.”
