The Seasiders take on Luton Town in the first leg of their play-off semi-final clash at Bloomfield Road tomorrow, with the return game taking place the following Thursday.

The Hatters completed the double against Gary Bowyer's men during the regulation league season, winning 2-0 at Bloomfield Road in December before snatching a cruel 1-0 victory in the last minute at Kenilworth Road last month.

Luton finished fourth in League Two while Blackpool finished in seventh.

But Pool’s pedigree in the play-offs is unrivalled, with four successes to their name from their seven attempts.

In fact, once the Tangerines have finished in a play-off position only once have they failed to reach the final.

The Seasiders are also the only club to have won all three divisional play-offs – so it’s fair to say they’ve been there, done it and got the T-shirt.

It’s not been all plain sailing for the Seasiders though, as the last time they took part in a Wembley final they lost out to West Ham back in 2012.
